In a major development for the global e-fuels and clean energy sector, Topsoe, a leading global provider of advanced technology for the energy transition, has signed an agreement with First Ammonia. Under the partnership, Topsoe will provide its dynamic ammonia synthesis technology for First Ammonia’s pioneering green ammonia production facility in Victoria, Texas.
This project represents a critical leap forward for commercial-scale green e-fuels and clean ammonia production in the United States. Powered by green hydrogen generated via renewable-electricity electrolysis, the facility is designed to supply sustainable fuel, chemical feedstock, and carbon-free energy carriers for both domestic and international markets. Financial close for the initiative is anticipated later in 2026, with commercial operations targeted to launch in 2029.
