Eight e-Fuel industry partners have written a document titled “Joint Letter calling for Speedy Targeted Amendment Process of the Delegated Act (EU) 2023/1184 on RFNBO Production Criteria” to the European Commission (EC)’s Directorate-General for Energy.
One of the members, eFuel Alliance, stated the “goal was to ensure that the announced targeted revision of the production criteria for renewable hydrogen will correct the slower-than-expected market ramp-up of green hydrogen and RFNBOs”. Oher signing members include CO2 Value Europe, Eurogas, Hydrogen Europe, e-NG Coalition, Methanol Institute, European Renewable Gas Registry and VDMA.
The letter, posted to Eurogas’ website, urges “the Commission to undertake a timely, efficient, and targeted revision of the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1184 that focuses on the provisions most critical for projects’ viability in the current market phase.”
