INERATEC’s power-to-liquid (PtL) plant ERA ONE has received International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) EU certification under the Renewable Energy Directive 2018/2001 (RED III).
With the certification, ERA ONE is the first PtL plant whose synthetic fuels are confirmed as renewable fuel of non-biological origin (RFNBO) and achieve a greenhouse gas reduction of at least 70% compared to fossil fuels. The e-Fuels produced at ERA ONE can be counted towards binding RFNBO sub-targets in transport, aviation and industry – industries where e-Fuels are already demonstrating practical relevance and commercial demand.
