Loganair and ClimaHtech Green Flight have signed a 15-year Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) offtake agreement aimed at supporting the long-term decarbonisation of regional aviation in the United Kingdom.
Under the agreement, Loganair intends to source SAF produced through ClimaHtech Green Flight’s Bio-SAF and e-SAF technology pathways, which combine waste biomass feedstocks with renewable electricity to enable decentralised fuel production.
ClimaHtech Green Flight is currently developing a first-of-a-kind SAF production project aligned with Loganair’s regional operating network across Scotland, Northern Ireland and wider UK routes, with SAF supply targeted from 2029.
The partnership also supports the UK Government’s SAF mandate and wider efforts to develop domestic, scalable lower-carbon aviation fuel production closer to regional airport operations.
