Norway-based LH2 Shipping has secured NOK344.3 million (€31 million) from Enova to develop and build two more hydrogen-powered bulk carriers, expanding LH2 Shipping’s hydrogen vessel portfolio to six projects.
Using liquid hydrogen as their primary fuel, the 7,700dwt vessels will be designed for shortsea bulk and general cargo trades between Norway and continental Europe.
The company stated that the “projects will help advance hydrogen bunkering infrastructure and support wider adoption of zero-emission shipping.”
