ETFuels and Q8Aviation Partner on Long-Term PtL eSAF Supply

Q8Aviation has selected ETFuels for the long-term supply of power-to-liquid (PtL) electro-sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF) from Project Kings Road Humber.

ETFuels chose the Port of Immingham, Greater Lincolnshire, UK, site in July 2026 for Project Kings Road Humber: a planned 70kt per year methanol-to-jet (MtJ) production facility. By partnering with Q8Aviation, the project moves closer to final investment decision (FID) and contributing to the UK’s domestic production capacity.

Lara Naqushbandi, CEO of ETFuels, commented: “Q8Aviation’s selection of ETFuels is a major commercial milestone for Project Kings Road Humber. Securing long-term, bankable offtakes is fundamental to bringing new e-SAF capacity to FID, and this proposed partnership moves Kings Road Humber materially closer to FID. We are proud to be working with Q8Aviation to turn the UK’s ambition for domestic e-SAF production into investable projects and, ultimately, fuel in the market.”

Adam Harrison, Commercial Director for Q8Aviation, said: “This selection marks an important step in our strategy to power the sustainable growth of global aviation and secure long-term access to e-SAF for our customers. As the market moves from policy ambition to commercial execution, we look forward to being able to support the development of e-SAF production capacity while helping our customers meet their decarbonisation objectives.”
