Protium Opens Pioneer 2 Site for Green Hydrogen
Protium has opened its Pioneer 2 green hydrogen production site in Port Talbot, Wales, strengthening its capabilities, capacity and service offerings in the area.

Pioneer 2 is a next-generation green hydrogen facility that is designed to produce up to one tonne of green hydrogen a day from a 2.5MW electrolyser. It also integrates on-site renewable power and storage in order to supply industrial off takers, transport and regional hydrogen hubs.

The opening day welcomed Christopher Jackson, CEO and Founder of Protium, Emma Guthrie, CEO of the Hydrogen Energy Association and Joshua Tuck, Councillor at Neath Port Talbot Council, who all, according to Protium’s LinkedIn Post, "spoke passionately about the energy transition and the vital importance of the local community."
