Antwerp-Bruges, Ostend and North Sea Port have launched Flanders Hydrogen Ports (FLHyPorts), a Hydrogen Valley project in Flanders, Belgium.
FLHyPorts, a 25mw green hydrogen plant coordinated by WaterstofNet at the Hyoffwind facility, is currently under construction by Virya Energy, Messer and HyoffGreen. It will connect production and distribution of green hydrogen to industrial and mobility applications, bringing together the Flemish ports of Antwerp-Bruges, Ostend and North Sea Port.
The project is funded by the EU’s Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking and will “[contribute] to the REPowerEU objectives [aiming to] establish Belgium’s first Hydrogen Valley”, according to the project’s description.
