Renewables experts, Galetech, are progressing plans for a €20 million demonstration facility focused on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in county Cavan, Ireland. The plant will focus on producing e-fuels compatible with existing aircraft engines and that can integrate into current fuel supply chains.
The Cavan facility represents an early but important step. While wind energy will remain central to Galetech’s operations, initiatives like this demonstrate how the company is expanding its role in the energy ecosystem, responding to evolving client and industry needs and supporting the transition to a lower-carbon future.
