Wison New Energies and H2Carrier AS have launched a collaboration to develop a 500MW Green Ammonia FPSO in northern Norway. The project combines Wison’s EPCIC expertise in engineering, construction, and integration with H2Carrier’s floating production and project development experience. The aim is to reduce the cost of producing and supplying green ammonia through innovation, scale, and standardisation, leveraging resource-rich regions with low-cost electricity.
The initiative addresses the growing need for global decarbonisation and energy security. By improving efficiency and replicability in floating production solutions, the collaboration aims to accelerate time-to-market, reduce risk, and provide competitively priced green ammonia.
Wison brings extensive experience from floating production vessels, while H2Carrier contributes technical know-how and full-value-chain development for floating hydrogen derivative production. The P2XFloater™ concept maximises renewable energy utilisation while minimising environmental impact.
The partnership is designed to standardise project execution and shorten development cycles, supporting broader deployment of low-cost, sustainable energy infrastructure in Norway and other remote territories.
