news item image
Sungrow has opened a European Hydrogen Technology Laboratory in Munich, Germany, to drive innovation in water electrolysis and Power-to-X technologies. Strategically located at Munich Airport Business Park, the facility is fully compliant with German safety standards and integrates material development, component testing and digital analysis within a closed-loop R&D chain.

The lab includes four specialised units; Physical, Optical, Chemical and Electrochemical, equipped with advanced tools such as 3D printing, SEM microscopy and precision PEM assembly. With significant room for expansion, it will serve as a hub for international collaboration, helping to accelerate the commercialisation of green hydrogen solutions.

The investment strengthens Sungrow’s global hydrogen strategy, complementing its 30MW production platform and other R&D centres, while reinforcing its role as a leader in the transition to clean fuels.
