Stargate Hydrogen has announced the successful deployment of the company's 1MW Electrolyser System to Fortum’s Kalla Test Centre in Finland.
The company said in a post on LinkedIn that: 'This marks a key step in Fortum’s hydrogen roadmap, as the company builds its hydrogen production plant, located near the Loviisa nuclear power plant.'
Our Gateway200 system, manufactured in Estonia, will produce hydrogen using electricity from the main grid and local water sources, providing the technological backbone for Fortum’s new R&D facility.
The project will serve as a blueprint for larger industrial-scale hydrogen plants across the region.
Marko Virkebau, CEO of Stargate Hydrogen, says: 'We are proud to collaborate with Fortum on this exciting project in Loviisa. Our Gateway 1MW system is designed to meet the demands of industrial-scale green hydrogen production and will enable Fortum to harvest the potential of hydrogen.'
