Siemens and Spanish renewables developer RIC Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop innovative hydrogen, green ammonia, and e-fuels projects across Spain. The partnership brings together multiple Siemens entities, including Siemens S.A., Industry Software, Financial Services, and Innovation Strategies, to collaborate across technical and financial domains.

The agreement sets the stage for the co-development of solutions focused on process decarbonisation, operational efficiency, infrastructure digitalisation, and industrial safety. Financing models and structured funding approaches will also be explored, aiming to accelerate project deployment.

The two companies also intend to roll out a joint communications strategy to spotlight the social and economic benefits of their efforts, particularly in advancing Spain’s energy transition and regional reindustrialisation.
