Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) has finalised funding agreements under Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) to support investments in hydrogen technologies. Five companies will receive non-repayable financing for the construction of RFNBO and low-emission hydrogen production facilities, with a combined capacity of 343 MW.

The total funding amounts to PLN 2.117 billion (€497.65 million), distributed as follows:

  • Orlen SA – PLN 1,215.7 million (€285.78 million)

  • Lotos Green H2 sp. z o. o. – PLN 523.2 million (€122.99 million)

  • Tauron Inwestycje sp. z o. o. – PLN 127.8 million (€30.04 million)

  • Promet-Plast SC – PLN 123.2 million (€28.96 million)

  • Bioagra SA – PLN 127.6 million (€29.99 million)

These projects aim to expand Poland’s green hydrogen production capacity, reducing fossil fuel consumption and emissions. The new facilities will particularly support decarbonisation in hard-to-abate sectors, including industry and transport, where hydrogen can replace conventional fuels and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
