Norsk e-Fuel Joins SASHA Coalition to Accelerate Synthetic Aviation Fuel Development

The SASHA Coalition is pleased to welcome Norsk e-Fuel as its newest member.

Norsk e-Fuel is developing synthetic aviation fuels produced with green hydrogen, considered one of the only scalable and truly sustainable drop-in solutions for decarbonising long-haul aviation. The company’s first three plants are expected to deliver 250 million litres of e-fuel by 2032, with the first facility coming online ahead of the EU’s e-SAF quotas in 2030.

Ida Larsen, Public Affairs Manager at Norsk e-Fuel, commented:

“E-Fuels are essential for reducing aviation's climate impact, and Norsk e-Fuel is making significant progress to contribute to fossil-free aviation. However, the industry continues to face an uneven playing field, largely due to policy frameworks that do not yet recognise the critical role of e-fuels or provide the necessary support to accelerate their development.

Collaboration has always been central to our approach to addressing these challenges. In this spirit, we are pleased to join the SASHA Coalition. Working with like-minded companies and experts is crucial for shaping the policy landscape that will enable the e-fuel industry to flourish and help aviation achieve its net-zero goals.”
