KK Wind Solutions has signed a framework agreement with Stiesdal Hydrogen to supply Power Supply Units and Electrolyser Control Systems for its innovative hydrogen plant concept. Previous collaborations between the companies have already delivered modules for operational projects, and this agreement covers future turnkey installations.

The plants start at around 12.4 MW, based on standardized 3.1 MW electrolyser modules, with the ability to scale stepwise to larger capacities. The control system will be customised to site specifications to ensure stable operation, efficient electrolysis, and reduced operating costs. The new plant concept targets CAPEX below EUR 1,000 per kilowatt, a notable reduction compared with current market levels.

State-of-the-art thermal management from Nissens Cooling Solutions, now part of KK Wind Solutions, is integrated to optimise performance, efficiency, and safety. The combined systems aim to maximise green hydrogen production while lowering costs.

KK Wind Solutions and Stiesdal Hydrogen have partnered since 2021, developing power conversion and control technologies for green hydrogen. Their collaboration produced the first kilogram of green hydrogen at a Danish project in 2023, marking a key step toward scalable, affordable hydrogen production in Europe.
