ITM has launched ALPHA 50, a 50 MW full-scope green hydrogen plant that establishes a new benchmark for scalable, efficient, and cost-effective hydrogen production.

Building on ITM’s proven electrolyser technology, ALPHA 50 is fully skid-mounted, prefabricated, and standardised to enable rapid deployment and simplified installation. The system consolidates central process units and incorporates redundancy across key components to maximise reliability and uptime.

Designed for flexibility, ALPHA 50 has a compact footprint that allows multiple units to be configured into larger plants and deployed globally. Operating on tap water and electricity, it delivers high-purity hydrogen at 30 bar pressure and can function efficiently across a wide range of environmental conditions.

The plant’s advanced engineering minimises on-site construction and civil works while offering fast response times and superior energy efficiency. Priced at €50 million, ALPHA 50 provides a highly competitive, full-scope solution for large-scale green hydrogen production and represents a significant step forward in ITM’s mission to accelerate industrial decarbonisation.
