Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE), Energy Academy Indonesia (ECADIN), and French clean energy firm Verso Energy have signed an agreement to develop low-carbon fuels using biogenic CO₂. The partnership, formalised in Paris on July 22, aims to produce sustainable fuels like e-Fuels and e-SAF to replace fossil fuels in transport and industry.
Signed by Pertamina NRE CEO John Anis and Verso Energy President Xavier Caïtucoli, the collaboration leverages Verso’s expertise in renewables including solar power, green hydrogen, and synthetic fuels. Indonesian Ambassador Mohamad Oemar highlighted the deal as a key step toward sustainable energy and global decarbonisation efforts.
This joint effort reflects growing international commitment to green fuel innovation and a cleaner energy future.
