Hintco has announced new measures across its H2Global tenders, increasing funding, extending timelines, and opening additional opportunities for renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBO) projects. The changes aim to give suppliers and buyers more certainty while supporting the development of a global clean hydrogen market.

The joint Global Lot, funded by Germany and the Netherlands and focused on RFNBO hydrogen, has completed its Public Release Phase and is moving into the Application Phase. Germany plans to start its ten-year funding period in 2032 with EUR 300 million, subject to approval, while the Netherlands will run its period from 2028 to 2036.

Regional lots are also advancing, with applications now under review. Germany’s 2025 federal budget commits EUR 58 million annually per lot for ten years from 2028, raising total funding from EUR 484 million to EUR 580 million. A draft 2026 budget foresees shifting this period by one year.

In addition, Lot 2 (RFNBO methanol) from the pilot phase will reopen with EUR 437.5 million, enabling projects not ready in the first round to take part.
