HIF Global Selects Electric Hydrogen Electrolysers for Texas e-Fuels Project

news item image
HIF Global has chosen Electric Hydrogen (EH2) to supply advanced electrolyser systems for its planned e-fuels facility in Matagorda, Texas. The project represents one of the largest deployments of American-made electrolysers to date and is set to become a new benchmark for industrial-scale e-methanol production.

Electric Hydrogen’s high-power electrolysers, designed for low-cost and high-performance hydrogen production, will be manufactured across U.S. facilities. Electrochemical stacks will be built at the company’s gigafactory in Devens, Massachusetts, with additional equipment produced in Texas. This approach highlights the strategic role of U.S.-based manufacturing in strengthening the domestic energy supply chain.

By integrating EH2’s modular technology, HIF aims to reduce construction timelines and scale up competitive e-fuel production, reinforcing Texas as a hub for advanced energy. The partnership underscores U.S. ambitions to expand leadership in clean fuels while building new industrial capacity to support the global transition to low-emission energy.
