HIF Chile has already collaborated with 180 companies in the Magallanes region in just four years, underlining the scale and importance of its growing green hydrogen and e-fuels ecosystem. The milestone was shared during the company’s first “Suppliers Gathering,” where 70+ attendees from 41 local firms reviewed progress and discussed next steps in developing the e-fuels value chain.
Juan Eduardo Gallardo, General Manager of HIF Magallanes, highlighted the importance of a committed local supplier network to ensure the long-term success of the industry. “This is just the beginning. Coordination and collaboration are more essential than ever,” he noted.
The event also featured remarks from CORFO’s Regional Director, María José Navajas, who said early-stage industry development remains a top priority and praised the HIF Haru Oni facility’s role in identifying supply chain gaps.
Survey results revealed that most participating companies are SMEs, with 80% stating the green hydrogen sector will be “important or very important” to their business futures, signalling strong local support for Chile’s energy transition.
