Elyse Energy has announced that its eM-Numancia project has received environmental authorisation from the Regional Ministry of the Environment, Housing and Spatial Planning, as published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BOCyL). The permit confirms that the project meets the region’s most stringent environmental protection standards.

Representing an investment of more than €200 million, eM-Numancia will produce up to 50,000 tonnes of e-methanol per year. The project is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs during its construction and operation phases, while supporting the decarbonisation of the shipping and chemical industries.

Located within the Hydrogen Valley of Castilla y León, eM-Numancia will contribute to the region’s industrial and economic development, fostering the creation of a high-value industrial ecosystem focused on sustainable fuels and green growth.
