Bangchak Corporation is reinforcing its “Accelerating Bangchak 100x” strategy with an increased focus on e-fuels as a vital part of the company’s move toward energy security and sustainability.
Executives, led by Group CEO Chaiwat Kovavisarach, recently visited ENEOS Holdings’ Central Technical Research Laboratory in Japan to explore developments in e-Fuels technology. The facility operates a government-backed demonstration plant that produces synthetic fuels by combining renewable energy with captured carbon dioxide, creating drop-in liquid fuels compatible with existing engines and infrastructure.
Bangchak recognises e-fuels as a key component of the global energy transition, offering a low-carbon alternative that complements electrification efforts. By converting clean energy into liquid form, e-fuels can help decarbonise transport and industry while maintaining the convenience and energy density of traditional fuels.
The company already produces next-generation fuels such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), and marine biofuels, and is now closely tracking advancements in e-Fuels to expand its clean molecules portfolio. This approach supports Bangchak’s ambition to double EBITDA by 2028 and to play a leading role in developing future-ready energy solutions across the region.
