AIRCO™, a carbon conversion technology company, has successfully launched its integrated AIRMADE® Fuel plant in Brooklyn, New York, marking a key step toward commercial-scale synthetic fuel production. Supported by a $70M Series B capital raise, the plant demonstrates how AIRCO’s modular technology converts captured CO₂ and hydrogen into synthesis gas, which is then upgraded into liquid fuel components for aviation and aerospace.
The facility integrates AIRCO’s proprietary AIRMADE™ technology into a continuous, two-stage process. First, CO₂ and hydrogen are transformed into fuel intermediates, which are then processed into optimized jet fuel blending components. The plant enables essential testing to validate fuel quality and provides a physical demonstration of scalable, modular CO₂ conversion technology suitable for diverse feedstocks and renewable energy sources.
The AIRMADE® Fuel plant positions AIRCO at the forefront of synthetic fuel innovation, supporting both defence and commercial sectors, with partnerships including the U.S. Department of Defense, JetBlue, and Virgin Atlantic.
